FEMS Young Scientists Meeting Grants

FEMS  is a sponsor of 20th ICNF 2017, and offers to support the attendance of approximately 25 Young Scientists.

 

FEMS  

FEMS is a federation of microbiological societies in Europe. It brings together 52 member societies from 36 European countries, covering around thirty thousand microbiologists. A full list of Member Societies can be found at the FEMS website (http://fems-microbiology.org/member-societies/ ).

FEMS’ vision is to coordinate and lead the acquisition of scientific knowledge and innovation in microbiology and to maximise communication of this knowledge, and its importance, to scientists, politicians, policy makers, industry and the general public. FEMS aims at advancing microbiology in Europe and the neighbouring regions through grants, publication of internationally renowned journals, news items, congresses, teaching support, and additional initiatives that fulfil its Vision.

YSMG Elegibility

FEMS requires that a Young Scientists Meeting Grantee is:

* A member of a FEMS Member Society, confirmed by any officer of her/his society,

 * Less than 36 years of age at the closing date of the meeting,

 * An active microbiologist and

* A presenting author of the abstract.

The Young Scientist is to be granted approximately 300 €.
